Condominium ownership (Wohnungseigentum)

Ownership of a single flat, combined with a share of the common land and building.

Roof, facade, stairwell and heating belong to all owners jointly, and the owners' association decides on them. A buyer therefore also takes on resolutions and planned renovations. In some countries the buyer is even liable for the previous owner's arrears.

Where it appears in the report

Condominium ownership appears in the Owners' association chapter; liability for arrears per country is on the condominium ownership page.
