Radon
A natural radioactive gas from the ground that can enter buildings depending on the geology and counts as a health risk.
In areas with high radon potential, a measurement inside the building is advisable. Scan my Home shows the official radon potential for the address where it is available. A high potential is not a diagnosis for the actual building, only a reason to measure.
Where it appears in the report
Radon appears in the report in the Location chapter, with the official potential for the address. Look at the sample report →
Common questions about it
Does a high radon potential mean elevated levels inside the house?
Not necessarily. It is a reason to measure inside the building, not a finished diagnosis.
