Solar potential
How well a roof is suited to a solar installation, based on orientation, pitch, shading and solar radiation.
Some cities and countries have measured every roof and sorted it into suitability classes. A well suited roof lowers energy costs later and can support the value. Whether an installation is allowed also depends on heritage protection and building regulations.

Common questions about it
Can I install solar panels on every suitable roof?
Not always. Heritage protection, protected zones or building regulations can set conditions. A good potential only means the roof is technically suitable.
