A study by a UPF chair professor examines the price effect of the October 2024 dana on Spain's housing market. Before the event such homes cost 7 to 10 percent more than properties without that exposure.

Buyers and tenants should check official flood hazard maps for the exact address before signing. It is also worth checking whether the risk is recorded in the deed or the land register.
