What this check does

Where do I find the verification number?

It appears at the top of every valuation PDF and in the web report. On the PDF it is also printed as a square code: photograph it and this page opens with the number already filled in.

What does the check confirm?

That the report comes from Scan my Home, when it was produced, which property it concerns and at what value. You also see how many sources were cited.

How do I know that nothing has been altered?

Every report gets a fingerprint over its entire content. The check recalculates it and compares. If even one figure was changed afterwards, it no longer matches. You also see since when the fingerprint applies. Very early reports do not have one yet, and we say so openly instead of claiming that nothing has changed.

What does the check NOT say?

Nothing about whether the property is good or the price is fair. It answers one question only: is this report genuine and unchanged. What it says is in the report itself.

What is English here, and what is not

Pages without a small DE mark are in English; a few pages are still German only.

Legal texts are translated, but the German version under legal notice, privacy and terms is the one that is legally binding.

Our newsletter PDF and a few image captions are still German.
