Right of withdrawal
This is a translation for your convenience. The German version is the legally binding one.
Two cases, two rules
There are two different processes with us, and a different rule applies to each. This is the most important sentence on this page, which is why it is right at the top.
Topping up credit. Nothing is delivered to you yet; your money simply becomes credit. Your right of withdrawal remains in place for the full 14 days, for as long as the credit is unused. You get back the unused part.
Starting an analysis. Here, delivery happens immediately. That is why we explicitly ask you beforehand whether we may begin at once, and tell you at the same time that your right of withdrawal ends once the analysis is complete. We do not begin without your tick in that box.
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The period is 14 days from the day the contract was concluded.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by way of a clear statement. The quickest way is through our withdrawal function: two steps, no sign-in, with immediate confirmation by email. An informal email works just as well. You may use the model form below for this, but you do not have to. To meet the deadline, it is enough that you send the statement before the period expires.

The operator's full details will be added before the site is publicly launched. Until then, please address your withdrawal to office@scanmyhome.de. We will confirm receipt.
Consequences of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will refund all payments we have received from you, without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days from the day your statement reached us. We use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction. You will not be charged any fee for this.
When the right ends
Your right of withdrawal for a single analysis ends once you have expressly requested that we begin immediately, confirmed in doing so that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, and we have fully provided the analysis. All three conditions must be met.
The exact sentence you confirm for this when you start reads:
"Ich verlange ausdrücklich, dass die Analyse sofort beginnt. Mir ist bekannt, dass mein Widerrufsrecht erlischt, sobald der Bericht vollständig erstellt ist."
For credit you have not yet used, nothing ends. You can claim this credit back within the period. What is refunded beyond that on a voluntary basis is set out on the refunds page.

If you are a consumer living in another country of the European Union, the mandatory rules of your home country also apply, regardless of which law is chosen in the terms of use. If you live outside the European Union, for example in Switzerland or the United Kingdom, this notice does not reflect the consumer law that applies there. Mandatory rights of your country of residence remain unaffected.
